Welcome to Ta Ta Creek Kiʔsuʔk ʔA·makiʔs
Nestled in the heart of the East Kootenays, our little hobby farm is a space dedicated to growth, creativity, and stewardship.
In naming our venture, we wanted to deeply honour the ancestral roots of this land and its connection to the Ktunaxa Nation. We chose the name kiʔsuʔk ʔa·makiʔs (pronounced kee-sook a-ma-kees), which translates to “Good Land” or “Beautiful Land.”
For us, this name is both a reflection of the landscape around us and a daily promise. It shapes how we care for this corner of the world, whether we are tending to our young fruit trees and fruit and vegetable gardens, managing our holiday tree patch, or looking after our chickens. We are proud to cultivate this good land with respect for those who came before us, and a deep commitment to its future.
